Dusky Warbler
At a Glance
Common in Asia, this plain warbler skulks in thickets, its presence revealed by its sharp low callnote. The Dusky Warbler is known as a rare visitor to western Alaska. It has also reached California about a dozen times, mostly in fall.

Description
5 1/4" (13 cm). This Asian stray Is plain dull brown above, whitish below, with a brown wash on flanks, dark eyeline, and pale eyebrow. Similar to Arctic Warbler but browner, and lacks any hint of a wing-bar.
