Lanceolated Warbler
At a Glance
In rank brushy fields in Asia, this little brown warbler creeps about in the undergrowth, typically staying out of sight. Lanceolated Warblers briefly 'invaded' Attu Island, Alaska, in summer 1984, with up to 25 found there, but the species has been found there only a few times since. Remarkably, a single individual once appeared on Southeast Farallon Island, off the coast of California.
