This year nearly 1,800 photographers from across the United States and Canada submitted more than 6,000听images to the 11th annual 爆料公社 Photography Awards.听Our expert judging panel had the difficult task of choosing just six听winners听and four honorable mentions from the pool,听but with so many听awe-inspiring submissions, we always enjoy听picking some听favorites that didn't make the final cut.听
As usual, we've selected听100 additional photographs, shown听here in no particular order.听During this听year听of collective tragedy and听canceled plans, we are especially grateful听to share a听gallery听that displays听even a small slice of global birdlife in all of its听stunning and joyous variety,听from acrobatic Ospreys to hungry hummingbirds to busy woodpeckers.听
