Hooded Warbler by GERALUZ

Location: 522 W. 147th St., New York, NY 10031

Painted: 10/10/2017

About the Bird: These bright wood warblers are often found in the leafy understory of eastern forests, where they flash their white outer tail feathers from time to time. But climate change may dry out moist habitats along the Gulf Coast where Hooded Warblers breed. The bird鈥檚 outlook is worse where it overwinters: 爆料公社's models predict it will lose 74 percent of its current range in Mexico鈥攗nless warming is kept to 1.5 degrees, which will reduce the potential loss to only 15 percent.

I love drawing and painting birds because they invoke freedom, focus, and having a higher perspective.鈥
