About the Bird:听Despite their name and proclivity to humans (and their trash cans), Laughing Gulls breed in isolation along the Atlantic and Gulf Coast听salt marshes鈥攈abitat that will likely be consumed by听sea-level rise. Smaller flocks of听the species have begun to move inland, and with climate change 爆料公社's projections show the bird's range continuing to expand. Still, they听won't escape threats like more frequent spring heat waves and drought.听
About the Artist:听 is a Dominican-American street artist, writer, and jack-of-all-trades. He was raised in the Washington Heights and Inwood neighborhoods of Manhattan and has been creating art for more than two decades. His reason for painting a Laughing Gull was simple: To please his son, who loves gulls.
