In honor of Wildlife Wednesday, we鈥檙e bringing you some inspiring animals from the . They鈥檙e life size. They鈥檙e alluring. They鈥檙e pretty awesome.

And they鈥檙e made from LEGOs.

LEGO Master Builders who work for the Danish company whisked into the Zoo, part of the Wildlife Conservation Society, and created a virtual safari from the brick-like plastic blocks. You鈥檒l see lemurs, rhinos, a gorilla, plus many other animals, including the hornbills (above) and the tiger, giraffe, and zebra below.

The idea here is to 鈥渃onnect young minds to nature and inspire visitors to help build a future for wildlife,鈥 says one Zoo spokesperson. It鈥檚 not just the walkthrough that鈥檒l do it. One Saturday a month鈥擩uly 21 (this Saturday) and Aug 11鈥攆rom 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Master Builders will be around to help bring kids鈥 LEGO visions to life. Want an owl? Craving a crane? The possibilities, it seems, are endless.

For inspiration, walk through the zoo grounds and see some of the sculpted animals, live. Sounds like a great family activity for the weekend. The LEGO animals will be at the zoo until September 3.
