Gary Moody is the former Director, State and Local Climate Strategy for the ±¬ÁϹ«Éç. In this role, Gary managed ±¬ÁϹ«Éç’s state and local climate campaign portfolio and he worked with state leadership and local chapters to develop state and local climate initiatives that align with ±¬ÁϹ«Éç’s strategic plan and support our federal policy priorities.

Gary joined ±¬ÁϹ«Éç in 2014 as the state policy and advocacy lead in our Arkansas state office. He then served two years as the Arkansas State Director, before assuming his current role on the national climate team in December of 2019. Prior to joining ±¬ÁϹ«Éç, Gary spent 15 years in business and political consulting running state, local and federal campaigns and helping clean energy start-up businesses manage regulatory affairs.

Gary was also responsible for ±¬ÁϹ«Éç’s energy policy analysis. He successfully leveraged the ±¬ÁϹ«Éç network to secure energy efficiency and smart renewable energy victories in both legislative and regulatory settings across multiple jurisdictions. Gary holds a BS and MA from the University of Arkansas and studied abroad as a visiting scholar at both Cambridge and Oxford.
