Located in Arkansas, Hot Springs National Park is well-known for its thermal pools鈥攕ome with water temperatures nearing 143掳F. The park鈥檚 landscape consists of rugged mountain slopes, creeks, valleys, and old-growth forests that support a rich ecosystem of animal and plant life, such as mosses, liverworts, grasses, and shrubs. Many bird species can be found in Hot Springs, including the Great Blue Heron, Golden Eagle, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Greater Roadrunner, and Great Horned Owl, as well as numerous woodpeckers, warblers, and vireos.
